Harry Sever named one of Bachtrack’s “Rising Stars” for 2026–27

We are delighted to share that our Music Director, Harry Sever, has been named one of Bachtrack’s Rising Stars: Ten to Watch in 2026–27.

Selected by Bachtrack editor Mark Pullinger, the list highlights the most exciting young talents on the classical and operatic scenes as the new season begins. Harry appears alongside an international line-up of singers, instrumentalists, conductors and directors.

Pullinger recalls Harry’s early success as a chorister, when he won the BBC Radio 2 Young Chorister of the Year in 2003. He goes on to trace Harry’s rise as a conductor, from his time as a finalist in the LSO’s Donatella Flick Conducting Competition to his role as conducting fellow at Longborough Festival Opera, where he assisted the renowned Wagnerian Anthony Negus. Most recently, Harry’s conducting of Das Rheingold, the opening instalment of Grange Park Opera’s Ring cycle, earned particular praise. He returns to conduct Die Walküre next summer.

We are proud to work with Harry as Music Director at Cambridge Philharmonic, and we congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition.
