Cambridge Philharmonic Chorus is keen to welcome new members as we start our new season! We have some fantastic concerts in the pipeline, singing at prestigious venues such as West Road Concert Hall and Saffron Hall. Last season we performed with the full philharmonic orchestra, to sell-out audiences, and alongside top guest soloists. It’s a great way to meet new people, with a shared interest and a passion for music.
We’re recruiting to all voice parts (with tenors especially welcome). If you’re interested in finding out more, you could come along to an open rehearsal on 16th September (or to any other rehearsal on Tuesdays during term-time from 2nd September). This is a great way to see what our rehearsals are like, meet some of our members and get to know more about the chorus. If you’d like, feel free to bring a friend too!
Rehearsals are 7.30 – 9.45pm at our regular venue of Church of the Good Shepherd, Mansel Way, Arbury, Cambridge CB4 2ET (there is some blue badge parking and the venue is accessible).
If, after a few rehearsals, you’d like to join the chorus, we’ll arrange an audition which we make as enjoyable as possible.
Please get in touch with our Chorus Secretary, Elaine Fulton, if you’re interested in coming along on 16 September or to another rehearsal – feel free to ask Elaine any questions too! chorus-secretary@cam-phil.org.uk We look forward to singing with you!
