Unfortunately, Vincent Regan, the presenter of our ‘Magic of the Movies’ concert in May will no longer be able to attend, due to delayed filming commitments in Scotland.
We are pleased to announce that actor and singer Ben Eagle will be taking on the role, and as a self-proclaimed ‘film buff’ he will fit the bill perfectly!
Tickets are selling very well, with limited options for the first performance at 4pm, so book soon if you would like to join us for this memorable evening of iconic film scores.
About Ben Eagle…
Ben is an actor and singer who trained at the Royal Central School of Speech
Drama, graduating with the Lilian Bayliss Award for Excellence.
He hails from “God’s Own County”, Yorkshire and he has recently moved back
there after years of living in London.
As an actor, Ben has toured the U.S. twice with Shakespeare, played gritty
northern policemen, teachers, pigs, bailiffs, journalists, less gritty northern
policemen, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, friars and even the pantomime
“Dame”, which he will be reprising in Doncaster later this year (oh yes he
will!). He has performed at venues and theatres countrywide including the
Royal Albert Hall as well as being a regular voiceover artist, often heard on
radio and TV.
Ben is a self-confessed “film buff” and is delighted to be hosting Magic of the
Movies for Cambridge Philharmonic.
