Join Cambridge Philharmonic as our freelance Operations Coordinator!

Are you highly organised and self-motivated? Do you love making connections and supporting people to make things happen?

We are looking for a freelance Operations Coordinator to support our brilliant volunteer Trustees and Committee members, and take a central role in the day-to-day running of Cambridge Philharmonic. This is a paid position with a time commitment of the equivalent of approximately 1 day per week during term-time, and 0.5 days per week during school holidays.

The Operations Coordinator serves as a key point of contact across the organisation, coordinating relationships with contractors and volunteers, managing rehearsal and audition venue relationships, overseeing administrative processes, supporting internal communications, supporting outreach and community work, and supporting compliance with Charity Commission requirements. Working closely with the Chair, Trustees, and Music Director, this is a broad and varied role that sits at the heart of everything we do. It is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual with a passion for the arts to make a real and lasting contribution to a thriving musical community with a rich history.

The role at a glance

Fee: £200/day

Hours: freelance and flexible, equivalent of approximately 1 day per week during term-time, and 0.5 days per week during school holidays.

Contract: self-employed, initially for six months with potential for extension

Location: home-based, with occasional in-person presence in Cambridge or other local venues (e.g. Saffron Walden) for some ticketed events, rehearsals and meetings
